Thank you to the Alberta Museums Association

It is with great pleasure we inform you that YouthLink Calgary Police Interpretive Centre was fortunate to receive a grant from the Alberta Museums Association for $10,000 for a Curatorial Assistant position for the year 2018. This was a highly competitive grant run, and we are so grateful to the AMA.

Because of this project, we were able to:

  • Update over 1000 object records in our database
  • Develop new storage solutions to properly and safely store delicate objects
  • Create several new displays including a display on women in policing, the history of the CPS uniform, and the involvement of CPS in the 1988 Olympics
  • Research the history of hundreds of artifacts in our collection

We are thrilled to have completed this work as it allows us to move forward with our collections research as well as storage planning. We are now using our space more efficiently and effectively. Because of this grant, we are better able to display and preserve our amazing collection for future historians and for Calgarians in general.

We are very grateful to have received this grant and are very appreciative to the Alberta Museums Association for their support.
