We are excited to announce that YouthLink Calgary will be resuming in-centre programming in the fall! Registration for schools will open on August 16, 2021 at 9 a.m.
Led by Calgary Police Officers, a key element to the success of this program, is the opportunity for officers to build trust and lasting relationships with participating youth and teachers.
Who can apply?
Grade 6 classes only.
Max 33 students per class (1 class may participate in a Police School program at a time).
Schools experiencing a high call volume for police services or students at an increased risk of gang involvement, drug use or other crime-related behaviour.
Applying for Police School requires a more in-depth application form. If your class is not selected to participate in this program, your application will still be considered for the Police School Single Day Program as well as the Single Day Field Trip Program.
Applications for the 2020-21 School Year are currently suspended due to COVID-19.
You will need the following information for your application:
Booking Teacher info: first and last name, email address and phone number (the teacher in charge of coordinating your school’s visit).
Number of students: The total number of students in each class.
Class information: your schools goals for participation, special needs, crime-related or mental health challenges and pressures being experienced by your students or school. Applying for Police School requires a more in-depth application form.
