Can I bring my whole family?

Absolutely! TAC Day is designed for families, friends, and community members of all ages. Everyone is welcome! That being said the demonstrations are more suited to kids, teens and adults. We do not have specific activities for toddlers and infants.

Is there a cost to attend?

Yes – there is a small fee to attend. Families (4 or more) are $22, while individual rates are $7 per person and all kids 5 and under are free. The admission proceeds go to fund crime prevention initiatives in Calgary, helping keep our communities safe.

Will food be available?

No, food will not be available. Please bring your own snacks.

Where can I park?

Free parking will be available at the main Calgary Police Service Headquarters lot.

Will this event still happen if it rains or snows?

Yes — rain, shine, or even snow, TAC Day will go on! The event includes mostly outdoor activities, so we recommend dressing for the weather appropriately

Can I explore the exhibits inside YouthLink during the event?

Yes! All attendees get free access to YouthLink’s interactive exhibits, including scavenger hunts, forensic displays, historic policing tools, and real crime stories. It’s a hands-on experience that turns every visitor into a detective for the day.

Are there activities for younger children?

Not quite activities per say. This will be more of a show and shine event, where guests will be able to watch live tactical demonstrations and try on gear. But there are no specific activities for kids under the age of 5.
