The Case of the Grinch: Arrested at YouthLink
It’s official: after weeks of suspicious holiday décor disappearing from Calgary front yards, our investigation finally came to a close. And who was behind the string of festive thefts? None other than the Grinch himself.

Operation Noel Ne’er‑do‑well
With tips from the public and forensic experts analyzing mysterious green fur fibers left at crime scenes, Calgary Police & YouthLink launched Operation Noel Ne’er‑do‑well. The sting was successful, and the Grinch was taken into custody—straight to our very own jail cell at YouthLink.

Enter Cindy Lou Who
But here’s where the story takes a heartwarming twist. On scene was none other than Cindy Lou Who, who reminded us all that sometimes even the grumpiest hearts can grow three sizes with the right kind of care. She knew exactly what the Grinch needed: the unconditional love and calming presence of the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) pups.

🐾 PADS to the Rescue
PADS dogs aren’t just adorable—they’re highly trained companions who bring independence, comfort, and resilience to people with disabilities and victims of crime. If anyone can melt the Grinch’s frosty attitude, it’s these four‑legged heroes.

🎅 Holiday Hounds: Where You Can Meet Him
The Grinch will remain in our jail cell until Holiday Hounds on December 13th, where guests can stop by for:
- Sassy photo ops with the jailed Grinch
- Cheeky banter and festive mischief
- Professional photos with Santa + PADS pups
- Crafts, cookies, scavenger hunts, and full access to the interactive police museum
💙 And who knows? With good behavior, and a little help from the PADS dogs, the Grinch may just be fully reformed by the time Christmas rolls around again.
