Understanding Youth Crime in Calgarys Presentation
Youth crime is an ongoing, complex issue that involves multiple factors including socioeconomic conditions, family dynamics, peer influences, and mental health. Through the exploration of these elements, we gain deeper insight into youth crime, its causes, and its effects on not just the young offender and their victim, but their families and society as a whole. YouthLink Calgary is committed to equipping Calgarians with the proper resources to best support youth and their families.
About the Youth Crime Presentation
This program aims to provide youth, their families, and the community with a better understanding of how and why young people engage in criminal behavior, as well as the lasting impact on their lives and communities.
We emphasize community and the importance of supporting youth in becoming independent, productive, and positive members of society through the education of crime prevention and utilization of community and government resources.
These presentations are a collaborative initiative with our partner: the Calgary Police Service– who recognizes that youth crime is an issue that requires broader community support, education, and awareness.
