Artificial Intelligence in the Classroom

Length: 90 minutes
Cost: $200

Understand how AI is shaping education and society. This workshop will begin with an exploration of how AI works and what it can do. It will then explore how students can misuse AI tools such as chatbots, deepfake generators and automated content creators to cheat on assignments or even engage in cyberbullying. AI algorithms are designed to keep social media users engaged, putting young people at risk of dependence on “likes” and other addictive behaviours.  Through real-life scenarios, this practical workshop will help teachers direct their students to responsible AI use. Learn to guide students into integrating AI tools effectively into their learning while addressing ethical considerations, critical thinking, and privacy.
